CSTA Elections: Call for Nominations

The CSTA Board of Directors annual elections will take place again this spring and the positions are up for election:

School District Representative--a person whose focus is technology or curriculum at a district level

College Faculty Representative--a college level faculty or instructor of computer science. College in this case is defined as an institution of higher education that has primarily a teaching focus and not a research focus. It may include community colleges and four-year institutions

K-8 Representative--a classroom teacher who is currently teaching or promoting computer science at the pre-high school level

9-12 Representative (2)--a classroom teacher who is currently teaching CS at the high school level

At-Large Representative--an educator with responsibilities for K-12 CS education

All nominees for CSTA Board positions must be CSTA members in good standing. To run for a Board position, you must submit a formal application in accordance with the instructions in the Call for Nominations. Applications must be received by February 6, 2009. Late applications will not be accepted. The Nominations Committee will select two candidates from among the nominations for each position available. Voting will take place by mailed ballot in the Spring.

The affairs and property of the Organization are managed, controlled, and directed by an elected Board of Directors. The Board of Directors consists of officers including a President, Vice-Vice-President, Past-President, constituency representative and the Chairs of standing committees.
